Wow... I'm blogging. Pretty cool feeling. When you Google search me, some dude's blog shows up calling me the "faceless" Admiral Abraham and he's not giving us a very good review of Drake Bell's record. Of course what he doesn't say is he is only really interested in hip-hop music. I did finally actually talk to the guy on the phone; he seemed cool so no hard feelings...but now I HAVE THE POWER OF BLOG...watch out world.
So these are my random opinions:
The new Coca-Cola was actually really good. Crystal Pepsi was awesome but nowhere near as cool as the strawberry Pepsi, and the tropical Pepsi. Jellyfish rules. Mt. Rushmore is a pretty stupid waste of time and money. Gold is way cooler than platinum. Star Trek TNG was the greatest show ever. Lost sucks.
Ok... now on to what we've been doing at the Backhouse. Many of you out there in cyber world want to know why Backhouse Mike never blogs, or answer's emails, or fan mail,.. Why is The Super Chris the spokesman for The Backhouse? Well, the answer is simple. Mike pays me a ton of money to do it for him. He is actually very shy. You wouldn't know it watching him jam on stage making most guitar players look like they’re sewing a quilt. And... he scores all those TV shows. He is constantly working hard so you fans can have quality background score to your favorite shows. Yes the music ends up nearly inaudible, over-compressed, and he makes it ridiculously good when he really doesn't have to... but he also is rich beyond the wildest dreams of Midas. (not really, more like someone's dad with a really good job)
Now, I'm just a lowly songwriter. I write a song in 4 minutes, record in half a day, and it goes on TV the next day. Easiest work in the world. Gives me lots of time to blog, go to the beach, develop TV shows, movies, and smoke cigars for hours while soaking in the Jacuzzi.
Mike helps me write too. He makes our music "cool" without him it would be way over the top pure unadulterated power pop that would just overwhelm most of you out there. He helps me bring it back a few notches so that humanity can handle it.
Many have asked exactly which instruments do you guys play... well lets start with Mike, he's easy. He is an excellent guitar player, piano player, bass player, and vocalist. I'll just list a few of the instruments I play so as not to bore you: Piano, guitar (average), trumpet, french horn, alto horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, oboe, bassoon, didgeridoo, flute, congas, bongos, shaker, wine bottles, castanets, harmonica, slide whistle, euphonium, spoons, jaw harp, electric sitar, 3 string cello, kazoo... I could go on for days, but you get the idea.
Well... that's about it for now. I need another cigar and I'm gonna go get in the Jacuzzi.
